Visualisations / Visualizations
You, of course, need the player (Use Winamp 2.x not 3 as no full working solution as yet). But also check the forums for chat about MilkDrop, Smoke , Monkey and Geiss 2.
The main man himself Ryan Geiss. Go here for all his visualisation work. Currently this consists of, of course, MilkDrop. The one that started it all for him - the classic original Geiss. As well as the desktop enhancer Dremples and the impressive fluid dynamics of Smoke. His classy trippy tunnels of Monkey and the sequel to the original Geiss 2.
Check out Ben Marsh's classy 3D visual Tripex now at version 3.12.A lovely example of what your graphics card can do. Also he has WPSS (Winamp Plugin Screen-Saver).
Also check out Rabid Hamster's (that's Gordon Williams) R2 Extreme. It's another classy 3D visual that is currently overtaken to Tripex to be probably the most visually impressive may need a decent graphics card though. R2 Extreme is now at version 1.65. You need to register to get the full version but it is worth the $15.

Also check out the latest visualization project R4 still in beta at the moment but looking good so far.
For those without a 3D card or want to go old skool with your visuals. Two of the best configurable ones are G-Force and Whitecap.
Input/Ouput Plug-ins
The best input and output plug-ins really useful for live sets. If you intend using MilkDrop 'live' you really should download these. A most for all VJ's.
